Summary of the 16th edition of Polish ITS Congress

Event

On October 7-8, 2024, Neurosoft participated in the 16th Polish Congress of Intelligent Transportation Systems, which took place in Warsaw. Neurosoft was a silver sponsor of the event. The ITS Congress responds to the challenges of the ICT market in transportation, which is changing as a result of new technical and social expectations and challenges related to its legal environment.

The Polish ITS Congress is an annual event that brings together representatives of universities, research institutes, IT companies and experts in the field of intelligent transportation systems from Poland and abroad. Its purpose is to exchange knowledge and experience and to present modern technologies supporting the development of sustainable and efficient transportation. The congress provides a platform to discuss the future of transportation in Poland, promoting innovation and the integration of modern technological solutions in transport infrastructure.

On the first day of the Congress, a session titled “Cybersecurity” took place, moderated by Janusz Wrobel. The session discussed key aspects related to the implementation of secure, intelligent transportation systems (ITS), with particular emphasis on potential problems and risks arising from the need to implement the NIS2 directive.

On the same day, the session “Road Protection and Weigh-In-Motion Systems” discussed new technologies for dynamic vehicle weighing and the future of heavy road transport monitoring. As part of this session, Neurosoft’s vice president, Mr. Cezary Dolega, gave a presentation on the technical requirements of Weigh-In-Motion systems, focusing on the key aspects necessary for their successful operation.

On the second day of the Congress, a panel discussion entitled “Artificial Intelligence in Transport” was held, in which Cezary Dolega was one of the panelists. The discussion was very intensive and concerned both the possibilities of using AI in ITS systems and the limitations resulting from the business and legal environment. The Regulation of the European Parliament on the establishment of harmonized provisions in the field of artificial intelligence, the so-called “AI Act“, introduced in August this year, was considered the greatest threat to the development of AI in Poland.

During the Congress, visitors to the Neurosoft booth had the opportunity to get acquainted with the full range of ITS solutions from the NeuroCar product line. Our License Plate Recognition (NeuroCar Vehicle Identification) and Weigh-in-Motion (NeuroCar Weigh-in-Motion) systems, as well as solutions for parking (NeuroCar PARK) and entry control (NeuroCar Access Control) were demonstrated live at the event.

On behalf of the entire Neurosoft team, we would like to thank for the opportunity to participate in this year’s Polish ITS Congress. We are proud to have been a part of this important event, supporting the development of intelligent transportation systems in Poland. In particular, we would like to thank the organizers of the event and all the guests who visited our stand during the congress. Your interest in our offer was a motivating confirmation for us that our innovations meet the needs of the market. We are glad that we had the opportunity to talk about opportunities for cooperation and potential implementations of our technologies.
