System for detection and documentation of violations of yielding priority to pedestrians by drivers at pedestrian crossings. The operation of the system involves automatic simultaneous detection and tracking of vehicle and pedestrian movement within the analyzed crossing area. For this purpose, the video stream from a camera is analyzed. Additionally, utilizing one or multiple ANPR cameras, vehicle detection and identification are performed, including license plate recognition, make, and model version. The system automatically detects and records conflicts between vehicles and pedestrians in the form of videos and series of photographs, capturing situations where a vehicle fails to yield to a pedestrian entering or already on the crossing.
