Weigh-in-Motion (WIM) technology is an advanced solution developed by Neurosoft that uses the fusion of data from induction loops and road-mounted pressure sensors. Integration of the acquired data makes it possible to accurately determine the weight of a vehicle and provides additional information, such as its type, speed, length and individual axle pressures. Measurement of these quantities takes place in real time, without having to slow down or stop the vehicle. Neurosoft’s WIM technology allows the use of different types of pressure sensors (strain gauge or piezoelectric) and various additional sensors, i.e. temperature sensors mounted in the road surface to compensate for the effects of temperature on measurements. An important element of WIM technology is the autocalibration function.
