System for automatic detection and penalization of violations committed by drivers of vehicles who fail to stop at a red light, adapted for railway crossings. The system consists of a CPU processing unit and camera units simultaneously observing the front and rear of the vehicle. The moment of violation is considered when the vehicle’s front crosses the conditional stop line while the signal is displaying red. Both the signal state and vehicle intrusion detection onto the line are exclusively based on video stream analysis from the cameras; no connection to the signal controller or other sensors is utilized. The evidence of the violation is encrypted, digitally signed, and promptly sent to the central violation processing system.
